Anyone else completely freaked out?.....

By their baby spitting up? My baby didn't spit up unti km she was 8 days old and it just seemed like so much. Now she has spit up 4 more times, each seeming like a crap ton of milk. We actually took her to the ER once because it seemed more like projectile puking that. Spitting up but they said she was fine...I have complete anxiety about her Spitting up....

Follow up with the pediatrician. They may be able to do more than the ER. My daughter was sitting up out of her nose. And the dr gave her Zantac and told me to thicken feedings and haven't had any spit up at all.

Is it spit up or vomiting? There's a difference. My eldest had reflux and would projectile vomit her entire feeding. We would have to re-feed her. It was like a waterfall. We tried Zantac and Prevacid and no go. Only thing that helped was Enfamil AR and time.

We also feed small amounts with frequent burping and hold upright for 30 min before laying down. I'd say if it's a teaspoon or less it's normal, you should probably burp more often. If it's more then talk to your doctor. Nothing you can do except meds for breastfeeding as rice cereal doesn't mix with it. Your only option that I know of is to pump and try Gelmix.
