I'm hoping I can get some advice and no one will be judgmental. I had an outbreak years ago and was diagnosed by my obgyn then and told I have genital herpes. I now have a new obgyn and when I found out I was pregnant they did blood work and the tests came back negative which was surprising. Since my last test with my previous doctor came back positive, my obgyn put me on valtrex later this trimester to ensure I don't have an outbreak. Well the last couple of days I noticed I have a small inflammed area on the outside of my labia, which is painful. I attempted shaving by myself the other day which didn't work out very well and I'm wondering if I maybe cut myself or something. I also feel like I have a yeast infection. I go see my doctor tomorrow and I'm going to be pissed if I test positive for an outbreak, especially since I've been put on medication to prevent one from happening. If it is positive, I will have to have a c section. Honestly, if that happens what do we tell our family??? Baby is breech?? This is a very private matter to us and it would be quite embarrassing to have to say I'm having a c section because I've had a herpes outbreak.
