when guys are angry or upset

Question

When my boyfriend gets annoyed by something or is feeling down he sort of shuts away. Like if im upset a cuddle or some attention can make me feel a little better. But for him he just gives me the cold shoulder until hes Over it.
Like lately ill go to kiss him goodnight and he will sort of let me but groan and not hug me back. He will just sort of avoid me and get annoyed at any physical contact I try to have. 
But then if hes okay and we watch something he will lie on me or cuddle and in bed he will spoon me etc.

Just wondering whether this is a typical way for a guy to act when hes upset or angry? Like does anyone else get this with their guys?

My husband usually let me kiss him if he is upset but if he is really angry, we would barely talk all day and in the night he would just bring me close to him and sleep.  It is confusing really because I'm hurting and I need him the most but he isn't talking to me all this week but like I said at night he would hug me

I know better that when my boyfriend is angry or upset I stay away. I don't say anything, don't touch him. I just give him his space and he calms down on his own.

I'd say every single I know shut down and becomes distant when they're angry or upset where as most girls including me just crave a cuddle or kiss, even sex to calm me down.

What he allows you to do when he's angry or upset is different with every guy though.

Just accept this is how he is when he's mad or upset as much as you might want to help or feel helpless it's better to just give him his space and let him cool down on his own. Let him know you're there for him for whenever he's angry or upset. He'll talk to you when he's ready or wants to talk about it.

Everyone has their own way of dealing w emotions.. i get like that too sometimes and my husband. We've just learned over time what to say/how to act when one of us are upset

My partner gets like this too. Maybe make him a cuppa (if he drinks them) and ask to talk about it with him? That's what I usually do with my man and he likes that I make the extra effort to ask if he's okay. :)
