Severe Cramps

MacKenzi
So a couple months ago I had the worst periods I could imagine. My flow was extremely heavy, and my cramps basically were so painful I'd miss school or work because I couldn't move. Then I tried birth control, I had the implant for 2 months- I bled very lightly the entire two months with basically no period symptoms. So I got off that and switched to the pill. I've had 2 normal periods all about 2 1/2- 3 weeks apart from each other. The flow was medium, and I had very light cramps. I just got my period yesterday and my period is medium. But my cramps are back to being so bad I can barely move. They even brought me to tears today because I feel like someone's stabbing me in the uterus. It's the most painful thing ever, and I don't know if I should go to my doctor about it or not. I don't think it's normal to be in this much pain. Any advice?
