My Mirena IUD was removed about a week ago. That day and the day after I had zero cramping or spotting. The 3rd day I started heavily spotting. It was a very dark red with small clots. I say "spotting" because although it was heavy, it wasn't necessarily a flow. It would sporadically come out but was dry otherwise. That continued until last night when it seemed to become a brown light spotting. Same today, but suddenly I had a heavy/medium bright red come out, only once, fair amount and nothing since. I have a tiny bit of cramping/body aches but nothing significant. I'm having a hard time deciding what this could be... my period? Reaction to the removal? I never had a period while on the IUD (3.5 years).
