Has anyone who is having a vbac been induce with a Foley balloon?????

I'm being induced March /17/17 I'm already 2 1/2 CM dilated they're going to put a Foley balloon to help open my cervix more. I have had a C-section before with my first child with my second I had a vbac she was not full term I had her at 6 months I was induced but she was small now I'm pregnant with my 3rd getting induced again but a different way.

FTM...At 40 weeks 2 days ny doctor decided to induce. She used a Foley ball because my cervix was only 1/2 cm dilated. I will tell you honestly it was the worst pain in my life when they put it in. I never sweat so much. Giving birth was a breeze compared to that. Please if possible have them use the gel. This is only my opinion.

I was induced with the foley. I didn't find the insertion as painful as most. My nurse said she has women literally crawling up the bed but it really didn't bother me that much. The worst part for me was all the discharge I had after they put it in. I showered right before I went to the hospital for 7pm by 4am I felt like I was lying in a heavy period with no pad and I feel like I smelled horrible. I never have that problem. But it got me to 5cm in about 10 hours. I'm a FTM and my labor ended in an emergency c section.

I just talked to my friend who is a l and d nurse about the difference between the gel and bulb and she said her clinic uses the gel more than the bulb, the bulb they use for VBAC and other medical sensitive inductions, my clinic however according to my doctor uses the bulb more than the gel.
