Baby Shower for 3rd baby???

So we have a 14 year old daughter. After MANY many years of trying for number 2, we finally had a baby Boy in Nov 2015. Of course everyone was thrilled and threw us a HUGE baby shower (I mean it was like being a new mama all over again!) To our crazy surprise we found out we were preggo with #3 and are due with a little Girl in the beginning of Aug!!!! A close friend has mentioned throwing us another baby shower, but I feel kind of... idk... weird having ANOTHER one. Maybe "weird" isn't the right word... but just feel like people will be like, "Really?! Didn't she JUST have a shower?" I don't really need any of the big things.... just maybe a double stroller and even that, we can buy ourselves. Ladies, what are your thoughts on having a shower for each baby? I would love to celebrate our final sweetheart, but I don't necessarily NEED gifts. (I really hope this makes sense, as I feel as though I may have babbled on for 10 minutes) 😊

I'd say no. I'm old fashioned though. I think with baby showers it's one and done.

This conversation has come up quite a few times in my circle of friend over the past few years... I have a friend who had 2 older children (13&11) and she was pregnant with her 3rd.  We had a baby shower for her as so much time had passed between her next youngest.  Her sister was pregnant with her first at the same time and of course we had a shower for her. She promptly got pregnant with her 2nd about 5 months after birth of her first and we didn't throw her a shower. She of course got gifts upon the birth of her 2nd but we all (including her) felt a 2nd baby shower almost a year after her first (both babies were boys) was silly. That's not to say the birth shouldn't be celebrated, but a shower is different. That's just my 2 cents, I'm sure there will be people who disagree.

I say screw it, have one for every baby! It's a celebration of a new life coming into your family, even if you just wanted to do a pot luck and have a family get together sorta "bring a gift of you want" thing

My husband and I are having our 5th now, but we had a "baby sprinkle" for our now 2 year old daughter.

We chose to have it because our friends and family wanted to throw us one, also because we have a lot of family and church members that make quilts or other handmade items for each

Why not?! She should be celebrated too. Who cares what others think about it. If they have a problem with it they don't have to come. Jmo. I would just send out a list with the invite stating the things you need like a double stroller, diapers, wipes, ect.

Every baby deserves a celebration. You could do a donation shower?  Like the celebs...;)

You could always have a baby sprinkle.  We do this for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc time moms.  It's called a sprinkle because you don't need the items like you would need when throwing a baby shower.  This way you can celebrate the baby but people won't feel obligated to buy you big items.  They can buy you little items like clothes, diapers, wipes, etc.  ☺
