Really?!

Question

Do people really drive their kids around in the car until they fall asleep?! This is NOT an option for me.

I used to have to do it with my first.  We tried EVERYTHING!! walks, bouncer , swing.   Nothing would get her to sleep.  Once she got over tired it got worse.  The screaming all night and crying.  If I put her in the car , turned classical musical on and drove , she would actually fall asleep!!! She also wasn't the baby that I could move while she was sleeping so often I would sleep in the car too , weather permitting. .  I literally would put the drivers seat down and catch rest wherever we happened to have stopped driving ... it was a nightmare !

My mother in law said she used to drive my husband around when he was extremely fussy and wouldn't sleep. I'm a little jealous my LO hates car rides and I feel guilty making his go anywhere. He'll cry the whole way there and we have quite the drive to go anywhere.
