sleeping on her tummy?

How safe is it to sleep on their tummies? I always lay her on her back but then she switches to her stomach.

My understanding Is as long as you put baby down on his or her back, it's okay if baby turns over. Just make sure there's nothing in the crib -- no bumpers or blankets. If baby can roll him or herself over, they should be capable of rolling back. Our son will immediately kick his leg over to lie on his side. We've tried repositioning him but he just goes right back.

My son is almost 7 months and loves to sleep on his stomach now. I let him but we try to keep a close eye

I always lay my 7 month old on her back to sleep, but she rolls all over her pack n play, mostly on her tummy. There has been a few times I've woken up and she is FLAT on her face. It always freaks me out. Our pediatrician said if they happen to fall asleep on their tummies, it's ok to leave them in that position, they'll know how to turn over at this point when they want to. As for my daughter I have to turn her face sometimes just to make sure her airways are clear because I get so paranoid. I also have an Owlet monitor she wears to tell me her O2 and heart rate so that gives me a little peace of mind.

I lay her in her crib on her back and about 2 weeks after we started using her crib she started rolling on her side she is nlw on her stomach almost all night. At first I would roll her back over but it would just wake her up  make her mad. So I gave up lol. Or she starts out in the middle of her crib and ends up at the end of her crib pushed against the bars.

My son has slept on his tummy since he was 2 weeks old... I made my dr aware and I told him I kno I'm breaking the rules but it was literally the ONLY way he would sleep... if I laid him on his back he woke after a couple minutes every time.. I think it was because of his reflux, the acid would roll up his troat when he was on his back.... but I've read once they do it themselves they r totally fine cuz they can rollback and forth...
