can anyone point me in the direction of a good place to buy baby stuff?

Whether it be for the nursery or just general care. I don't have parents, I don't really know any parents that can guide me and help me out, so I'm turning to this app! My husband and I  just found out I'm pregnant after trying since 2015. I'm just trying to get a head start but I didn't really realize the vastness of baby supplies X( please help me! Any and every suggestion is welcome! Thanks !

Go to walmart and go cheap they grow out of everything the only things worth really spending money on would be a things that will last a stroller the bed, carseat. We really went crazy stocking up on wipes cause you use them for everything and don't know what type of diapers will be needed and for how long.  But clothes they grow so fast. And all those little extra things I waited and have gotten things as needed.  Oooo I use my baby wear thing like daily get one that will be comfortable for you

I've gone everywhere from Walmart, Target, and Babies R Us to second hand stores.
For clothes, see if you have Once Upon a Baby in your area-- they usually have some really nice things for cheap. 
For things you want brand new, just be on the lookout for good sales, and remember to buy for what season your baby is going to be born in. 
Don't buy a carseat used. Buy that new. It's expensive, but it's worth it to know that it's safe.

Full stop. Check out "Baby Bargains" - it's a book and a website. The book is updated yearly and isn't that much but most of the information is on the website too. I've found the advice to be very solid and similar to what I've found going through forums like this or Amazon (what can I say, I like to triple check everything). I say this because knowing WHAT to buy is more important than knowing where to buy it.
 
Anywhere you go, just price check on Amazon, even if it's on "clearance" because so many times Target tried to sell me stuff on clearance that was still more than regular price on Amazon. Beware of any items by third parties that could be inferior, unsafe made-in-china imitations though...

Then check craigslist. Omg the bargains. Also I wish I was pregnant in summer so I could go to garage sales. Babies don't use stuff for very long so second hand is still practically new. In my area anyway skip the thrift stores... expensive and disappointing.

It really depends on budget. If you have a larger budget I'd recommend Land I'd Nod, Pottery Barn Kids, Baby Gap, Nordstrom, Honest Company, Cotton On Kids, Buy Buy Baby (similar to Babies R Us, but has more higher end brands)
Smaller budget go to Walmart, Target, Babies R Us, Carters. 
I like to check out everything because if I find something I really like, I usually justify it somehow to get it. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Go to Wal-Mart or target and have yourself a walk thru. You clearly must have seen baby departments in large stores.
My mother adopted me at age 11 and never had any baby's...i figured it out I my own. Your husband must have family....or your friends....see if they'll or he'll go with you. Make a list of supplies and buy them. There are lists online for basics needed. A simple Google search will go far.

Amazon and babies r us are great, we did our registries there, but you can find really good high quality stuff for discount at like TJ Max, Marshall's, and Home Goods. We got some Aden and Anais swaddles there for like $12 (usually sell for new at $35ish)
