I just got my period today, but while changing a tampon, a piece of a broken condom came with it. I can't remember the last time we broke a condom, but we have before and quickly replaced it, and then continued having sex. The good news is, is that I am not pregnant, but the bad news is I might have pieces of a broken condom in me; he must not have realized when replacing the ripped one that it wasn't whole.

I went to the gynecologist in January, and she did not mention seeing or feeling any pieces of condoms, but I don't remember any of our condoms breaking in the last month, and he swears it has not broken any time recently and that he would tell me (he gets nervous when it breaks so I totally believe him and I watch him take the condom off every time). I'm just wondering what I should do.

If it's coming out and my period is normal and I feel normal should I let my period take care of it or go to my gynecologist? Or feel it out for myself when my period is over?
