Do you want a boy or girl?

I'm 9 1/2 weeks pregnant. I've had two miscarriages last year. Things are going well with this pregnancy and I'm so grateful. But I'm slightly annoyed because everyone I talk with always asks me, "So what do you want? A girl or a boy?" And I always say that it doesn't matter to me and IT DOESN'T! But no one will believe me. I truly, truly just want a healthy baby. I think having both boys and girls are great and of course I'd love to experience one of each but with everything I've been through, I just want this baby to be healthy and I really don't care about the sex. Anyone understand how I feel?? It's so annoying when people don't get it and say, "Oh everyone says that. You have to want one more than the other." Grrrrrrr..... 😠

Everyone  wants a healthy  baby, some just prefer one gender over the other... I personally  wanted a boy..... I'm  having  a girl, and have already gone overboard with buying stuff... her room is 90% done. And I'm only 17+ weeks.

I understand. My husband and I just want a healthy baby. We have no preference of sex. We just want to be parents. But people are annoying! They have even suggested something is wrong with us because we do not care about that at all. I'm just ignoring the annoying comments now.

I feel the same way. I've never been pregnant, but I'd just want a healthy baby. It doesn't mater what gender they are, because I'll love them the same 💕

I understand what you're going through! It took me 4 1/2 yrs to conceive because I have endometriosis and pcos. Had to go through a lot of tests and surgery to have my baby girl. She's 9 months now. I will most likely have surgery again to try and conceive next time around.

All I cared about is a healthy baby. It gets real annoying when people say stuff like that.

Considering your circumstances I completely understand why a healthy baby is your only concern. I never struggled to conceive, or lost a pregnancy so my perspective is different. Gender disappointment is a real thing for some women. Some women picture their life a certain way and idealize one gender over the other, they can't relate to the concept of letting that picture go because fertility may not have been a disappointment they had to live through. My first pregnancy I really wanted a girl, when the tech said boy I got a lump in the back of my throat. I wanted barbies, and dance class, and sparkles and tutus, softball, field hockey. Now that I have my son I couldn't imagine having anything but a boy. When we try for our second I hope to have another boy. A gir would terrify me!

I totally understand what you mean. Everyone asks me do you want a boy this time since you already have three girls and I always tell them as long as I get a healthy baby that is what is important. Yes I would love to have a boy but I always pray that I get a healthy baby.

This is so us! We were told children were going to be a no go and We got pregnant. All I want is a healthy baby. So far so good we couldn't be happier or healthier, except for the baby belly is non existent life of a runner.

Im with you on that ... idc what I'll have! Especially the fact I had a miscarriage and that killed me so honestly I'll be happy with a boy or a girl !!
