can anyone help put my mind at ease???

Question

So my fiancé was in a 5 year serious relationship with his ex partner(whom he was engaged to) I have found out since that when they were together, she was very similar to myself & could not have any contraception as it did not settle in her body, obviously being with someone for 5 years I am well aware that they will have had unprotected sex numerous of times but now I am wondering since myself & my partner have been TTC for around 5 months now that is has occurred to me, is it a coincince that him & I are struggling to conceive & that he was with someone for that long & she never conceived either??

I have since found out also that his ex is now pregnant with another's baby. Can anyone relate or offer some advice? I know this post may seem strange but I can't help but overthink things...

He may or may not have some issues, but really no way to know unless he is tested. I also would try to not stress/worry about it unless they were trying, as with fertile days being limited, pulling out, and things like morning after there are tons of way to be careful even without protection.

I think that maybe he might be infertile.. Im no doctor but if they had tried as well then it's possible. That or fate knew you two would be together and decided that it wasn't for them.. I'd ask him if they were trying or not and if not then it's as simple as a lube used with spermicide or he pulled out or the day after and if they did ask him if he'd be willing to get tested

I'm sure it's unsettling but i wouldn't worry just yet. It takes up to a year for a healthy couple to concieve so 5 months is super normal and not worrisome.
