Do you think Theresa Caputo and other mediums are legitimately connected/communicating with the dead?

I very rarely watch shows about this but if a family member has it on I'll watch. One of my relatives is really into shows like this so they're ALWAYS on their tv. I'm not sure if I buy into it or not. Some of them ask questions that just seem like they're trying to get you to provide the information, some of them sound a little more convincing... What do you think? I feel like I may believe it more if I witnessed it in person.

I believe some are fake and others are communicating with demons unknowingly. Actual dead people can't communicate with anyone or anything.

I think some people believe they are psychic or can talk to the dead but others deliberately scam the vulnerable.

My opinion is no, I don't believe that they can communicate with the dead. I think most of them are exploiting people's grief, which I think is very sad.

I think Tyler Henry is legit even though I'm not sure if I'm a believer or would go to a medium myself. Theresa Caputo I'm not so sure about she's very vague when she does her readings

I believe some are fake, some are false prophets and others are real.

Connecting with the spirit world has been apart of many cultures world wide. This whole "medium" thing I feel is boarderline appropriation, in a sense because people are capitalizing off of some cultures religious, or life values. For instance. In the Native American culture, some of the tribes would take part in a payote ritual which to them is considers to be a spiritual thing, they communicate with their ancestors/ Gods whatever u want to call it.

Then u have creole traditions where witch craft and black magic/voodoo play a big part in "healing" which are also ritualistic in a sense that they too are communicating with the spirit world.

Now there's the Christian/catholic faith, which the Bible itself makes reference to. Being "familiar spirits" and prophets or chosen people have the gift of discernment. There's also forms of transcendental meditation, where ur "spirit" leaves your body. It's happened to me b4 when there's heavy spiritual activity but it's nothing I have control over. It's not something u can just summons on cue.

I truest believe that those are not loved ones she's communicating with, but demons who are deceiving the lost family members loved ones.

As I said I really believe that gift isn't something u have control over like that, I think people who are doing things like fortune telling and communicating with passed loved ones, can possibly be talking to evil malevolent spirits rather than the passed loved one
