I'd buy a used one because babies grow out of it so fast! My neighbor's son outgrew it at 3 months. My good friend bought a gently used one for $60. Seems worth it for less money.

My best friend had one. One of her babies loved it and the second one hated it. Maybe wait to get it and hat way you can return it if needed

I agree with the other comment, buy used!  My son wanted to be held when he slept for the first two weeks and the mammaroo with the infant insert and swaddled made him feel like he was being held. That said, he doesn't love being in it for more than 15-20 minutes at a time, and he is equally happy in the $40 vibrating bouncy chair that I bought.  But if you can find one used for 50-60$, I would absolutely get it for those first couple weeks!
