miscarriage or just AF???

So I am never late but this month I was over a week late. Took a few tests and each time BFN. Unfortunately  AF finally came but the last few days the flow has been real heavy and I had some clotting that was definitely bigger than a quarter. Am I freaking out for no reason and this is just another cycle or could this be a miscarriage?!? So new to all of this!
