Return diapers?

My shower is Sunday and only 2 things have been purchased off the registry (of 50+ items all under $50, most less than $15) - and, as a Type A planner, I'm worried that I'm going to end up with a ton of diapers. We are using cloth diapers and already have several packs of disposables in sizes NB to 3 as backups, but I don't want to end up with a ton more if we aren't going to need them.

I'd prefer to return things that I don't need because there are still tons of things that we need before baby comes. After we are all set, I will absolutely donate diapers we don't use.

My question is, if people don't include receipts, can I return unopened diapers for store credit? I've heard you can swap for sizes or brands, but I don't know what policies are on returns.

As long as it's within 60-90 days and the packaging is intact. It also may depend on how you're CS associates are feeling that day however

Where do u have a registry @? Babies r us? If so, yes they will give u store credit if u don't have a receipt. P

It might not be just diapers. For some reason people don't like to use the registery of things you want but instead they get you blankets and clothes

There are two Walmart within 20 minutes of my house, one of them takes any and all returns, the other takes nothing 🙄 so it definitely depends on location!
My local target also takes anything but I know other targets are pickier.

I've been returning diapers to exchange every time we size up though, and if it's more than one brand Walmart gives me cash/credit rather than an exchange.

I'm a couponer and I stocked up on diapers from target, some size 1's I didn't use. Target gave me hell just trying to exchange for diff sizes without receipts

Walmart and target usually takes them back and worst case get store credit. I doubt u will get that many diapers. The item I got most of that I didnt register for was clothes, blankets, bibs and baby toys. Plus registeries mess up often. I got tons of duplicates that were never taken off.

A coworker said she returned all the diapers at target without receipt from her shower and got gift cards.
