HELP baby refusing breast and bottle

Ear infection? He's becoming hysterical after the first few gulps. Not calming down(he's been a VERY docile baby up until this point) his ear is reddish, temp is normal, has had discharge the past week or so but it's been normal color my doctor told me the ear was just self cleaning. He has been refusing my left breast (makes him lie on his right side) and cries when I try to lay him on his right side period. The left ear is the one that seems affected. What to do? FTM. Waiting on doc to call back. Of course everything happens on the weekend or the middle of the night 🙄 HELP. Went to moms to get my milk from the deep freezer and she made it out like I'm not trying hard enough so now I'm an anxietal emotional mess which is NOT like me so I know it's not helping at all
