Could I be dilating

My son has been in position and very low since 32 weeks. I mentioned pain to my mid wife and she told me I'm hurting from him pushing down. I'm almost 35 weeks and pain near (I guess my cervix) is so painful I don't want to get out of bed. Could I be dilating?
