Well, he's at work. So he's focused on, you know, work. Making an income to support himself, baby, dog and I.

Well when he's at work he should not have to text or call you .. he's at work. Maybe have him text on a break or something.

Guys compartmentalize. His mind is many boxes. At work he uses his work box. You are not in the work box so he doesn't think about you. Girls are like spaghetti. Everything is mixed up so we can think about our fellas WHILE we are at work. (I am generalizing here, there are exceptions) Guys, amazingly have moments of time where they don't think about anything. They are just all about the task.

Because when he gets to work his mind is set on clocking in and working. Why can't you take two min to call and make sure? I never depend on my husband to do something like that. I wake up first and am at work first. So I txt to make sure he's awake and text to make sure he made it.

He may not see the significance in updating as you do. My husband does the same. I've learned not to take it personally.

The only time my husband won't call or text me is when we get into a fight. Other than that, we text each other throughout the day especially since I have post partum depression he will go out of his way to keep in contact with me more.

My husband and I don't check in to each other when we get to work. Sometimes if he's not busy he'll call or email. I work at a prison so there is no cell phones allowed. And if I have time because I'm usually slammed as well I'll call to say hi. Some days we don't even call after to work. I get off earlier. We just see each other at home.
It's not a big deal to us. We both take our jobs seriously and are very busy.
