can tanning help my scars ?

So I want to get tan for the summer and swim party's that are coming up and I want to know if sun tanning can help with acne scars or just  acne in general (on my back and thighs) and I know about skin cancer and all that but I mean I live in Texas so I'm gonna get tan either way but I just want to know if it'll help my scars. And how long it would take to get tan.

I've never gotten sun burned before and never use sunblock either. But I have issues with really bad back acne scars and break outs. I tan for a couple hours and my skin has no marks or acne after it but I'm not sure if that's healthy. The clear skin usually lasts a couple months

I would recommend a spray tan...it's the only way to "cover" scars. A real tan will make them stand out more. Good luck!

Try Bio Oil. I used it on my c section scar and you can barely tell it's there 11 months later .
