do I need a pumping bra?

FTM...I bought a few nursing bras but not sure if I also need a hands free pumping bra? Couldn't I do the same thing with a nursing bra? What is the difference?

I've been exclusively pumping for almost a year, if you're going to be pumping at all I'd get one. It's personally one of my must haves.

I found having one really handy. I could email while working, or fold laundry, drive my car, online shop or prep dinner. I've heard you can make one by cutting holes in an old sports bra though. Although that would have to go over your head and a pumping bra is easy to zip around you after lifting your shirt and it goes right over you nursing bra. Folding down the cups of a nursing bra only would be hard because the bottles wouldn't hold very well. If you want to multi task get one. If that's not important you can skip it.

It makes things a lot easier as it gives you your hands free. I just took an old bra and cut holes in the right places to fit the pump on. Worked great

If you'll be pumping at work yes if just for home no.
If you aren't needing to stockpile your milk don't get it.

The nursing bras are not going to allow your pump to attach and be hands free. You don't HAVE to buy a pumping bra. Some people diy by cutting holes in a sports bra they already have. I actually use two hair bands to hold my pump on my regular nursing bra, you can google diy pumping bra to get ideas if you wanna save money :)

Honestly i wish i had bought a hands free bra because i literally cant do anything when I'm holding 2 pumps at the same time for 20min. A regular nursing bra or tank comes in handy when you can just snap the straps off to feed baby or to pump
