how much water to drink a day while pregnant?

I just bought a gallon of water to try and drink today because my doctors always told me to drink that much BUT then I read this.... We only need 2.3L
My first pregnancy, my doctor told me TWO gallons a day. I said "Are you kidding me? There's no way."
What have your doctors said?

I also find it fishy that the link in the pic states that it has no proven benifits. Water is extremely beneficial to adults, especially pregnant women. We need it for amniotic fluid, for the higher blood volume and for general health. Anytime there's a flat statement like that my "hold the phone" radar goes up.

I drink between 1 & 2 gallons a day. My doctor was satisfied with that.

My maternal fetal medicine specialist said 2 to 3 liters at the least and 1 gallon a day ideally.

My dr recommended a gallon as well. It also depends on your climate too. We live where it's extremely dry, so the extra water intake is needed.

It depends on your individual needs. I drink water intuitively( meaning I listen to what my body needs) but try to make sure I drink half my body weight in fl. oz. in water . ( this is what I've always done before I was pregnant & now)
Ex. If you weigh 140 lbs., drink 70 oz water per day. 
But it can vary based on how much water you are obtaining from diet and such, like I said it's individual and doctors usually give you a baseline to make sure you're getting enough water.

I've been drinking between 75-100 ounces a day and my Doctor said this was a good amount. I think it may depend on your weight as well, but drinking enough water is important for amniotic fluid. But other liquids count too as long as they aren't caffeine. If I drink caffeine I make sure to drink more water to cancel it out.

I used to love water , now I can't even think about that makes me gag ! Forcing myself to drink is just a pure nightmare but I have no other option 😭 I try to squeeZe lemon and put some strawberries inside and sometimes that help... but the struggle is Real 😝

I usually drink two 32oz water bottles a day or a little more. And I think that's plenty.

I struggle to drink a gallon, but my doctor suggested that I do to help with my shortness of breath and migraines. I haven't been successful though.
