Is the owlet worth the money?

I fully understand when it comes to safety that no amount of money is to much. But there are other similar products that don't cost as much just curious if it's really worth the money or if a different brand works just as good

I used the snuza hero with my first and liked tht a lot, it worked for me and is a fraction of the price of the owlet

It was worth the peace of mind for me.  That said, I didn't research comparable products, I came across a sponsored post on FB one day, read all the reviews good and bad then decided I wanted to try it.  I don't regret my decision.

I have one and love it, it seemed expensive but I am such an anxious worrier idk how I would've​ survive without it in the first few weeks and now that my son has started rolling over in his sleep it's a relief to know he's breathing and I can check his stats from my phone whenever. (Before I get jumped here, yes I follow safe sleep procedures but all the procedures in the world won't keep you from worrying when baby is just starting to sleep on their belly.)

Me being the crazy worry wart I am I didn't get one of those and my son has been just fine and he's 2 months now lol

My OB's office, and most pediatricians offices recommend AGAINST them due to the false positive alarms, and other issues. They cause many many problems and worry when there typically are no problems. Just something to consider and look into. The FDA has an article suggesting parents not use them.
