How dangerous is it to hold in pee while pregnant?

You should urinate when you need to our your can cause pelvic floor damage resulting in urine incontinence and urinary tract infections and kidney infections. You should be drinking a gallon of water a day to prevent infection and to stay properly hydrated

I was always holding my pee do to my job, then one day I got these uncomfortable pains in never had before, my gut feeling told me to go get checked out. Well, I was having contractions at 26 weeks due to a UTI. So I don't recommend holding it.

I try not too because it's not good but with my job it's at times throughout the day a necessary evil... fortunately no issues have come up from it as of yet

I am 13w5d and it hurts like hell if I try to hold it. It's like I get this big knot in my bladder or my uterus.  Not comfortable at all. I go straight to the bathroom when I feel the urge. I do not want to deal with any infection if I don't have too!

When I was pregnant with my rainbow, I was scared to go to the bathroom because I was sure I would see blood. I had 4 previous losses and they all started by wiping and seeing blood. So I held it in a lot and I ended up getting UTIs that way. My rainbow ended up totally healthy. :) But that first trimester was difficult.

I def hold it for a while if I can help it, esp at night if I can somehow just go back to sleep. I don't think it's a big deal. If I have to go I have to go, same as before.

Not to mention hydronephrosis which is very painful and stays until you deliver. Don't hold your pee!!

You can get a UTI which puts you at risk of going into preterm labor
& the further you are a full bladder can also make you contract

There is a big increased risk of bladder infection while pregnant. Pee!
