Is it worth getting a membrane sweep? I will be 39weeks tomorrow and have a check up tomorrow. I was reading the success rate for them is 24% but can be higher if your cervix is dilating, softening, thinning, etc. I haven't been checked for dilation- as this is my second child and just been kind of waiting it out because I don't want to be disappointed if there's no progress. Any thoughts or experience with successful or unsuccessful experiences with membrane sweep? Also nervous that it will be painful/uncomfortable.
