Soft Indicators for Down Syndrome

Amy
Reaching out for comfort/answers after having my detailed sonogram.  I am 41 so I had to get my detailed sonogram done at a high risk pregnancy clinic.  The doctor told me that the baby has 2/12 soft indicators for DS.  He recommended either an amnio or blood work. I opted for blood work as it's 99% accurate and there is less risk.  My husband and I will obviously welcome and love our little girl no matter what the outcome.  I guess I just feel guilty or selfish right now because I chose to have a baby, even with the increased risk because of my age.  Has anyone been through this?  Advice on how to be as prepared as possible? Thank you for taking the time to read this.  I think it just helps to talk it out sometimes, especially to strangers, some how it's easier for me.
