IUD Mirena 5 years... what's your experience?

Do you recommend it? I'm 10 weeks postpartum and have an appointment to get it on Monday. Please share your experience with it. I'm nervous cause I've never been on BC. Much love to all 😘

Don't get it, I had mine less then 2 years caused so many problems! I almost had a friend remove it with pliers. Which when I told my doctor she said you absolutely could have it wouldn't have been ideal but if everything was clean you'd be fine. The thing is a nightmare. Implants are all I can do bc of epilepsy and I'll never do another one! It got to the point where I could not move I was in so much pain from that thing. No one believed me that it was the IUD but as soon as it came out I just felt so much relief to my body.

I dont recommend it. It gave me horrible cysts on my ovaries, and i also had the paraguard iud it was making my hair fall out. But it does react to everyones body differnt so it wouldn't hurt to try it and see how it does for you. It works for some and it don't for others.
