When is the perfect time to start dating?

My parents think I'm not ready for it bcuz of an accident. 😒

Depends on the kids maturity. At 13, I wasn't very mature or knowledgeable on what a relationship should be like and got into an abusive relationship where I was mentally and emotionally abused and sexually assaulted throughout the course of a year, dating this guy on and off. I didn't realize what was happening and that it was abuse until after the fact, and it's been a bit traumatic to me.
However, I did start dating my current boyfriend at 14 and we've been together ever since. We're almost 20 now and looking forward to our 6 year anniversary. But, honestly, there are very few cases like mine that turn out with a successful relationship. I probably wouldn't want my kids dating until high school just because I feel that elementary and middle school isn't the time to start dating since they're not mature enough.

My kids are not allowed to date until they're 16-17. Probably more so 16. When they can drive they can date.

Yeah I think it depends on the person. I'm 14 and in my first relationship. We're taking things very slow because even though I think I'm mature, I know things can escalate quickly and I don't think I'm ready for the more intense stuff yet. Generally, I think 16 is a good age for "real" relationships.
