How much is it to have a baby ??

How much is it to raise a baby their first year??? How much should you and your SO make together if you want a baby ?

There's too many factors to answer this. If you breastfeed food is free, if you formula feed depending on the type you baby uses it can be $30-$100/month. Is your baby going to co sleep? That's free, a crib is $150-$500 depending on what you get. Are you going to use disposable diapers? Or cloth? If disposable, what brand? Are you using the same detergent you use now or does your baby have an allergy? How quickly is your baby growing? Do you need new size clothes ever three weeks or every three months? Are you only going to the doctor for well visits or are you going weekly everytime the baby sneezes. Are you using hand me downs or are you buying brand new top of the line at full price? Are you using a room that's ready to go? Or are you painting and putting down new floors? The cost all depends on your choices and your baby. It's impossible to plan for sure.

No one can answer that... you can have all the intentions in the world to do it on the cheap... breastfeed, cloth diapers etc but circumstances change and you have to adapt... my mother used to say that if you wait until you think you have enough money to have a baby then you'll never have one because you could always use more money... you just have to make sureyou're  as financially stable as you can with minimal debts and everything else has a way of working itself out. Just be smart about it and don't buy top of the line expensive things when you know you can't afford it and the lesser expensive stuff is exactly the same (especially seeing as how the little ones grow so fast and half the stuff you buy doesn't last as long as you think it will)... also don't say no to hand me downs/borrowing things for the baby. Take all the help people are willing to offer..
