I can't speak to your doctor's protocols, but, if you ask around, you'll find that ultrasound weights can be inaccurate by quite a bit. It's also fairly common to walk around effaced and dilated for weeks before labor.

Anybody else have this happen? Did you have your baby early? How much did they end up weighing? I am also 1 1/2 cm dilated and 70% effaced at 36 weeks. Due date = April 19th but my doctor said she doesn't want me to go til then.
