Idk maybe he really just wants to hang out..? Just cuz you're a girl and have a bf doesn't mean you can't have guy friends. If he ever tries anything call him out and tell him he needs to respect the fact that he's just a friend and that you have a bf.

Id ask your bf and talk comfort and boundaries. I have a ton of guy friends and my be has a lot of female friends, it was a bit of a struggle with jealousy at first, but after some clear communication and openness we have oth come to embrace that about each other and we get along with each other's friends great, but we also are open and trusting enough that I can go chill with my friends and he with his with little to no jealousy
