Me and my fiancé have lived together now almost 8 months all of sudden yesterday he told me touch his stuff. I didn't think it was a big deal I handle all the bills and always end up having to remind him stuff he doesn't even check the mail but ig im not suppose too

We are also married now but I didn't when we were just engaged. If it's bills, I think it's important to know where you both are financially especially before getting married. He may have been defensive because he bought you something and doesn't want you to find out. I would talk to him to get to the root of it. In general, you two should have nothing to hide from each other.

I open my husband's mail, only because if I didn't it would stay unopened forever! 😂 If it's something he actually has to do, I'll tell him, otherwise I take care of it. How did he function without me lol.

But he respects mine though since he doesn't understand half of the medical stuff they send me but I think it's fine opening mail ! I used to and after living together for 3.5 years he told me not too. Which is so dumb to me cause I pay the bills and he is always forgetting due dates on his stuff. Now I just leave his in his own stack where it goes weeks without being opened so when he gets late notices that's all him 🤷🏻‍♀️
