Do you think it legitimately matters WHAT you eat while pregnant?

So I ask because I'm in a discussion with a friend, and it's about eating healthy vs junk food while pregnant. I said that all I crave is junk, I have adversions towards a lot of healthier foods, so I just eat what I can stand. I fill up really fast anyway so of course I don't want to put in the trouble to cook/prep veggies. I do still eat fruit, and veggies when I go out to eat (so someone else fixes them 😂). I said that I don't think it really matters as long as you're not going overboard, and as long as you're taking your prenatals, baby is still getting what he/she needs. The food doesn't directly go to them. She disagrees and thinks it's incredibly important to eat very healthy, not to eat junk that you crave. I felt the same way before I got pregnant, but now I see what it's like. She has a son so she has been pregnant as well.
