My almost 5 month old had bright red cheeks. Anyone know what's causing that? They seem to have gotten worse as the day went on.

I noticed how big he was, before I noticed his cheeks. He is sooo darn cute, and chunky. I thought babies always had rosey checks, maybe chapped. Put Vaseline or coconut oil. Again to cute.

Teething most likely. My son has red cheeks, they feel almost chapped so I have been putting A&D ointment on them.

My sons face and belly looked a lot like that and the pediatrician told us it so eczema. We were told 1% hydrocortisone twice a day for a few weeks after that just lotion really good and recently with a flair up they gave us a steroid cream.

This happened to my son when he started teething. He actually ended up with a low grade fever so watch for that. As long as they are eating and going to the bathroom then I wouldn't worry too much.
