Bartholin Cyst

Katie
Hey, ladies!
So I recently got my first Bartholin's cyst a few weeks ago, but I honestly didn't even notice it was there until I went to wash myself and felt something hard and round. I figured it might go away, so I left it for a couple of weeks until I realized it had grown in size a bit. Since I felt zero pain at all, even when touching it, I figured I would go see the doctor and have him look at it. I used one from my university and he instructed me to have it marsupialized because he said since the duct itself is blocked, compresses and soaks will not work. It's not infected and aside from it being obvious to the touch, I really can't even tell it's there despite the size. Well, I went to another doctor and he checked it out even after I said I was told to get it marsupialized, and he did a small cut to drain it instead, saying marsupialization was a bit aggressive and he didn't want to go that far yet, thinking I didn't need it. He told me to call him if I ever had any issues, but the cyst returned within a couple of days. Honestly, it was gone about a week before returning, but I will say that it's smaller.
Do any of you have advice? It's painless, but obviously I don't want it there. It's never grown into an infection or abscess, which is probably why they were all so calm about it, even telling me to have the procedure done whenever I want since the issue isn't super intense. Have any of you had marsupialization/removal of the gland done? If so, what was your experience and recovery time for both? Have you had a similar cyst experience?
