LBGT 101: Preferred Gender Pronouns (PGPs)
The fact that someone has a penis or looks stereotypically "male" doesn't mean that they identify as a man, and having a vagina doesn't automatically signal that someone identifies as a woman.
To be sure, get in the habit of asking for someone's "preferred gender pronouns", or PGPs.
Some people go by she/her, some people go be he/his, and others prefer them/theirs. It's always a good idea to ask!
