LADY PARTS: Learn about your hymen!
Your hymen is a membrane (a barrier, of sorts) that partially covers the vaginal opening. Traditionally, it’s presence was thought to be a sign of virginity.
This couldn't be further from the truth. Your hymen can break during normal activities like exercise or masturbation - without you even noticing.
If you're curious about whether your hymen is there or not, take a look at your vaginal opening with a mirror. If you see a thin layer of skin right inside, that’s it!
