interviewing while pregnant ?

So i'm interviewing for a job at aldi and although i am not showing yet (mostly because i'm a bit chubby, lol) i'm worried about how I should go about this. Everyone I know has told me not to say anything until I have the job but this job requires me to lift 40lbs doing stock. Of course I will aslo work at the registers(sitting down because aldi has chairs) but also doing things around the entire store (cleaning, etc) my first appointment is in less than a week so i will ask my doctor if i can lift 40lbs or not but i'm worried that the employer will see me as unfit for the job. What do i do ???

I just think it's best to start any job out with honesty. I wouldn't want to withhold information, get the job, and then have my employer feel I was untrustworthy because I withheld important information.

40lbs is to heavy to be lifting every day pregnant. I would be honest and perhaps they can accommodate you! Good luck!

Aldi is very hardwork. I wouldn't lie about being pregnant, be honest with them but I know I couldn't do that job while pregnant as you are constantly rotated between tills and the floor to do deliveries. And they expect you to work very fast on the floor too.

I interviewed for a job at 15 weeks and didn't disclose I was pregnant. It's the law that they can't ask and you legally don't have to tell them. They can't discriminate. However, they can not hire you because you won't be able to carry out the required duties if the job but if you get the job and build a relationship with your superiors, they likely won't let you go.
