Anyone getting daughters ears pierced??

If so what age are you doing them?? Want to do it while she's not grabbing at them..

I personally would wait till she's old enough to clean them herself one less thing you have to worry about. But if you really want to do them as a baby I've seen people do it as early as 2-3 months!

I had my eyes pierced at 6 weeks. They got infected and closed. I was allergic to nickle in most earrings. Also, if you do decide to do it early don't let them pierce with one of those piercing guns. They damage the ear lobes and are usually filthy. Go to an actual piercer like In a tattoo shop!

I took my daughter to get her ears pierced at 8 weeks after her vaccines..got okay from her pediatrician..

I asked our doctor and she said wait until her 2 month shots. I plan to get them done at 3 months.

I have four daughters. I got one done at 5 months, one done at 2 1/2 years, one at 13 months and my youngest is just 3 months and hers aren't done yet. Where I live, babies have to have their first two rounds of immunizations before it's allowed, that's around 5-6 months. It was easiest with my 5 month old because once it was done, she didn't even care. My 2 1/2 year old touched them for days. My 13 month old touched them a few times but just the first day. I plan on getting my youngest done as soon as she has her shots

I have been looking around and every where I went says after 2 month shots. I want a place that does it by hand as the gun is never cleaned properly. There's no way to sterilize it. The place I've asked said 3 months as there body has had time to SD just to the vaccines and they have antibodies in there system

When I was growing up I had to wait until I was a "double digit midget" (10 years old) so that is the tradition I will carry on with my daughter.
But if you want to do it while she's still a baby, I would do it before she seems very aware of her own body and that should cut down on her pulling on them.

I have ears and body piercings myself, but I still plan on waiting until my daughter is old enough to WANT to get her ears pierced. She's only 2 months old right now, how do I know she wants that on her body? I will let it be her choice. Not mine.

I wanted to do them at 2months but my husband wanted to wait alil so we compromised at 6months
