cramping is it normal??

Question

Took a pregnancy test today and it came up positive almost immediately. Today is suppose to be my expected period date. I've been having period like cramping the last two or three days it comes and goes but it's not as intense as my periods cramps. This is totally unexpected, but we couldn't be happier. Just want to make sure it's normal. Anyone else experience cramping early on?

Congratulations!!!! I'm 4 and a half weeks pregnant and have been having cramps since the beginning of week 3. It's normal and is just your uterus stretching! I was surprised too that there would be cramps. They're very mild but that's a good sign! Your body is doing what it needs to! Just make sure that if you start bleeding or if they become severe you see your doctor.

Congratulations! Yes, as long as they aren't severe, cramping is a very common (and good) symptom. It's an indication the embryo is either getting nice and attached to your uterus , or later on throughout pregnancy it's a sign your uterus is stretching and making room for growing baby 👶🏽

That cramping and pains are all normal. As long as it isn't extreme and there's no blood, you're good.

I'm so glad to see someone else posting about this. I got a positive yesterday which i didn't expect because I ovulated so late this month. I was really expecting my period to show up for the past few days because of all the cramps! I'm so glad to read these responses that it may just be normal, I thought something might be wrong! I'll go back to being excited now :)

Yup cramps is totally normal especially when finding out close to when your period is due because that's usually when implantation is happening.

I got my BFP on the 23rd and AF was due today. I've been having cramps on and off since Friday! I think it's perfectly normal as long as you aren't bleeding ✨

Cramping and just plain belly aches for 5 days before my BFP. I didn't test bc I swore AF was coming! They've settled down a bit since but still am getting a random cramp feeling here and there

I am cramping too. I also got my bfp today and af was also due today. Been having random cramps and sharp pains in and off all day. Hoping it's normal!

I've been having cramps as well! They feel kinda like AF cramps, but more dull and achey compared to when AF should come. I'll get an occasional sharp pain but I keep saying they are growing pains. I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow, so I think they are normal!
