cloth or disposable diapers?

Question

Just curious what you ladies have to say. Money isn't an obstacle, but it would still be nice saving by using cloth. Let me know your thoughts, insights, and suggestions!!

I tried cloth and my main reason was  comfort, I felt like cloth was so much softer and more comfortable. I switched by 5 months bc seven generation diapers were so much more comfortable on my son than any of the brands of cloth I tried

I'm disposable all the way. I spend about $25 sometimes less, every 6 weeks or so for 1 kid in diapers. Which can easily be budgeted. Plus I clean enough poop off of butts, that I have zero desire to cl an off cloth as well

I love cloth and to avoid the daycare problem, if baby is going to daycare, bring 10 at a time or just do disposables at daycare

Depends on your plans for the baby later, if the baby is going to daycare I would suggest disposable.  I worked in daycare with a little one who wore cloth, he was always crabby and uncomfortable even changing his diaper every 2 hours wasn't enough for him.  His cloth ones would stay wet and he wanted it changed as soon as he went.  Well we had a limited number of his diapers available so it was hard timing it for him. ( Yes we changed him inbetween if we knew that was why) Also it grossed me out to think his soiled diapers hung out in the wet bag all day til he was picked up and someone was able to wash them.  They decided to switch him to disposables while at daycare a few months later and he was a completely different kid!

I plan to cloth diaper but I'm not discouraging people buying disposables for us at the shower. If we travel I'll probably use disposable but at home on a regular basis I'll use cloth. Diapers can be returned if we don't use them. I also don't want to put cloth on my registry exclusively and listen to everyone trying to talk me out of it lol

I've heard it's easier and they look pretty cute. But I've heard too many down points such as cleaning them/not being able to throw them while you're out.

I loved cloth diapers. I spent about $300 for everything I needed from birth to potty training.
