Long surge?

#1 has anyone gotten pregnant even though they have a long LH surge? I read that it could mean that your body is unsuccessfully trying to trigger ovulation, so that is why you can get positive opks two or three days in a row. 

#2 I thought I missed ovulation but decided On a whim to take a opk yesterday afternoon. And after drinking quite a bit of water during the day. I was shocked to see that it seemed positive. (Top test) I took one again this morning (bottom one) and it also seemed to be positive, but now that it has completely dried, I'm not sure. I know the cheap tests are more confusing, but I didn't expect it to be this bad!
