So I've been trying to conceive all of '16. We had no sucess. Well January '17 I began to lactate. I went to doctors and my GYN tested my prolactin levels to see what all was off as far as hormones go. Well 2 weeks later she called me and told me that my levels were the levels an expecting mother should have. My breast were lactating as if it knew it had a baby to feed. Well, she scheduled an MRI for me another 2 weeks out and I went to get it done. I got it and waited a week for results. Mind you...since the moment milk squirted out my breast when me and my boyfriend was being intimate I was very concerned. So after what seemed like eternity of waiting my Dr told me that I had a tumor in my head near my pituitary gland called a "Micro Adenoma". It causes headaches, loss of sex drive, lactation and irregular cycles. Well, because of the last 2 symptoms (In which I was experiencing) it stopped me from ovulating. I had been trying for a baby and could not get pregnant. So long scary story short...'17 I will be taking tumor shrinking meds for a year and folic vitamins to be prepared to try the moment that tumor gets down. I am sad about the mass but glad I know the reason for all my BFN and can have hope that '18 may bring a miracle baby.
