can I demand for an induction?

NO bashing if you're upset with people being induced.. this is serious for me.

So I have CHRONIC back problems & my hip is out of place as it moves out of place every few months, doctor won't let me try to stretch it, or exercise (I can't hardly walk anyway). The chiropractor can't adjust me because I'm too far along.. But I am in DYING pain, even sitting on the toilet makes me scream.. i feel it is dangerous to continue Walking on my hip as I have 7 weeks left. I work so "resting" isn't an option. Am I able to tell my doctor because of the pain I would like to be induced at 37 weeks?? I can't handle this pain anymore.. I can't even pick up my 6lb dog..... Once I have the baby I can go to the chiropractor & be pain free again.

Find a new chiro!! Find one who is trained in prenatal adjustments, or Webster trained. You absolutely can get adjusted at any point in your pregnancy unless your doctor says not to. Maybe try a belly support band? Something that holds your belly up so that it's not putting pressure on your lower back, pelvis, and hips as much. As for inducing, you can request it but I wouldn't get your hopes up as elective inductions are not viewed as necessary and can put baby at risk. They might be more willing if it's past 38 weeks.

I asked my doc bout when we can induce today an he said unless for the safety of the baby he won't even consider until I'm 39 weeks...... I'm so sorry I hope you feel better soon!

The last couple weeks are vital for lung development. My Son was 8 weeks early and has asthma. Unless its medically necessary most OB won't induce just because. I know your uncomfortable and have some chronic pain. But it's best for baby to stay in. But it never hurts to ask. Best of luck

Depends on the doctor. Mine doesn't induce before 39-40+ weeks unless there's a risk to baby. But I know some doctors that work through our hospital are all about inducing and do it at 37-38 weeks. Different doctors have different philosophies, which is why I chose my doctor because we have the same feelings about a lot of the important things. 
But no one can feel how much pain you're in. It's your call and it can't hurt to ask.

I think you need to consider a new chiro. A properly trained chiropractor would be a safer route than inducing early, your babe's lungs need that last month to mature and produce the surfactant needed to support itself. Talk to your OB and he or she may have suggestions on chiropractors they refer people to. Hope you can get some relief! I've been getting my hips adjusted every 3-4 weeks and it's made a huge difference in my pain level. Good luck momma!

You can ask but they may not do it. Just talk to your doctor about it. I kind of doubt they would do it at 37. Maybe 39
