When was your next relationship after a breakup?

I broke up with my ex about 3 months ago, after a relationship of 2 years. I would say I'm almost over it, we are on good terms and are both ready to move on. Now there is this guy I really like and a mutual friend told me he likes me too. Is it too early to tell him and possibly start a relationship again? How long did you wait before you started a new relationship?

I started "dating" like a month after but they weren't serious. They were just something to pass the time and because I wanted to get laid, to be honest. I met my now husband a year later. There is no right time frame though, everyone is different.

I was with my ex for three years and it got to the point where we just lost feelings towards the end and it was about 2-3 months I believe when I started digging my next and now we're married lol. Together for four years. I'd say take everything really slow cause you might think you're over it and moved on  but little by little some feelings resurface and then pop up with the new dude ( if you're serious ) and it CAN get messy. Might not be the case for all but it was for me. Being so used to someone and then having someone else around it's like a slow withdrawal if that makes sense. It took an entire year to fully like be done with my ex mentally and emotionally even though we had moved on etc so yeah if you feel there's a real good connection with this new guy just enjoy every second of it there's no rush ! And make sure he has no ties to exes etc as well. Just saying from personal experience
