My poor baby boy has croup. We woke up to him crying and struggling to breath. Possibly the scariest moment of my life. We rushed him to the hospital and they confirmed that it was croup and gave him a dose of oral steroids to help ease his breathing. We followed up with his pediatrician and they gave us two more days worth of oral steroids to give him in the morning. Even with the steroids his breathing at night is still really strained. We've tried the steamy bathroom and cool mist humidifier and neither are really helping him breath easier. A woman at work recommended thyme tea, but I was wondering if there is anything else I can do to help him breath easier and get some sleep? I feel so helpless. Any advice is appreciated.
