Did Birth Control ruined your future cycles after getting off of it? If so which method did the damage?

I was on the pill for only 1 year and i got off of it because i was scared if i was on it for too long, damage would be done...and i feel like i was right and happy i stopped when i did...i only had one period since I had stopped...and i stopped in Nov.2016😐

i was on the shot for a year , and i got my period about to week after getting off of it . everyone's body is different . i've also been on the pill before , and when i got off of it , i got my period a few days later . my body goes back to normal really quickly actually .

It's really impossible to know for me because I was diagnosed with PCOS due to my irregular cycles. I had cycles that varied from 30 days to 45 days as a teenager (first period at 11yo) until I went on the pill at 17 years old. I've been on the pill for a few years, and had the depo shot once. After that I went off of birth control completely, and my cycles now vary from 28 days to 98 days. Which is much more irregular than it used to be. I don't know if that is specifically the result of birth control or not, but I miss my 30-45day cycles.
