Ovulation Day May Be Too Late

Ra
“For young women, the chance of getting pregnant on the day of ovulation is less than 1 in 10, but two days before ovulation it’s 1 in 3—three times higher! You can up those chances even more if you have sex more than once during your fertile time.
So why is the day of ovulation not the most fertile? It’s probably because of the short life of the egg, only 6 to 12 hours. Especially if you’re having sex in the evening—and that’s the norm for most couples—you might miss the egg entirely, or at least miss the time when it’s most likely to lead to a healthy pregnancy.”
