Nexplanon???

Question

I have had my nexplanon implantation for about 2 or 3 months now, after my first menstral cycle with it in I have not stopped spotting. Are any other women having/have had this issue with it? If so has the bleeding subsided?

Your gynecologist should of told you that it can take up to 6 months for your body to get used to the deviced. Sometimes women have irregular bleeding/spotting or just bleeding the first few months.

I had nexplanon for 5 months and I had non stop bleeding the entire time. It really put a strain on my previous relationship and my body. I gained about 10 pounds while on it and haven't been able to lose the weight. Definitely not a fan of this, but if you have any questions or concerns I would talk to your doctor asap, I did and got it taken out within a week of me telling him about the bleeding

I had implanon for three years (and only had spotting like three times) then renewed with nexplanon (they say they are the exact same thing). I had a light period and/or spotting with a regular heavy period when it was due for 9 MONTHS. My ARNP prescribed me the pill for a three month dose, taking the placebo pills as well and it has basically reset my system and now my periods are back, but easy to track. I'd say give it a few more weeks if you can before looking into removing it.
